I don't think you should edit it in effort, leave that up to the asker. Your edit undeniably improves the question, but it doesn't solve the root of the problem.

Not really. But:
Anybody who already answered before closure can change their post.
You can vote for reopening. This would reset the question if others agree to open.
Only top scored, non community-wiki answers of a minimum length are eligible
